Postpartum Support
The Postpartum Doula cares for the birthing person and their family in the home in the first three months (known as the Fourth trimester) following birth. She provides non-medical support and companionship, assists with newborn care and sibling adjustment, meal preparation and household organization. The doula offers evidence based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth and other issues related to the postpartum period, and can make referrals if necessary.

Congratualtions on your new bundle of joy! I imagine getting everything prepared is very overwhelming, especially with all of the conflicting information and options available.
As a Postpartum Doula, who has worked in a baby gear store, and completed my Child Passenger Safety Tech training, I am equipped to answer all your questions about baby gear including car seats, strollers, high chairs, baby wearing, breast pumps, and more.

Child and Youth Care focuses on children and youth, within the context of families, the community and their everyday life space.
“Child and Youth Care practice is grounded in the basis of a trauma-informed, relational, anti-oppressive, participatory and strength-based approach. Child and Youth Care practice includes assessing individual and program needs, designing and implementing programs and planned environments. With young people, Child and Youth Care Practitioners integrate developmental, preventive and therapeutic processes into the lifespace, where possible.
Child and Youth Care contributes to the development of knowledge and practice while participating in systems interventions through; direct care, supervision, administration, teaching, research, consultation and advocacy. Antioppressive practices are implemented to address the history and legacy of colonization, anti-Indigenous racism, Anti-Black racism, ableism and all other forms of oppression often surrounding the needs of the children, youth and families served by the Practitioner.”

Past Projects
“She [Kelsey] was phenomenal. She went above and bevond to answer all of our questions relating to strollers, car seats and baby carriers. We were so grateful to have her expertise”
“I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly helpful and supportive Kelsey was. She spent over an hour patiently answering all of our questions and gave us so much valuable information.
She was so kind and knowledgeable and we would highly recommend chatting with her if vou are new parents like us :)”
“I was feeling very overwhelmed and even a bit panicked about all the things I needed to research and buy to prepare for our little one’s arrival. The staff was so patient and helpful. Kelsey in particular was amazing: she took the time to demonstrate several items and offered suggestions on which products were better suited to our specific needs.
It was such an educational experience, and we always felt calmer than going in! Highly recommend a visit if you’re a soon-to-be parent.”
